Dunav TV's visit to the Center for Family Placement and Adoption
The Director of the Center for Family Placement and Adoption of the City of Novi Sad - Jelena Zorić, spoke to Dunav TV. The topics she discussed were - the work of the Center for Family Placement and Adoption and its important role in social protection, foster care, the challenges and positive aspects of working in direct contact with beneficiaries, as well as the numerous actions that the Center organizes.
"The Center for Family Placement and Adoption is primarily responsible for the organization and accommodation of beneficiaries - children, adults and elderly people when it comes to foster families, said Jelena Zorić - Director of the Center for Family Placement and Adoption of the City of Novi Sad. The Center for Family Placement and Adoption Novi Sad has 320 registered foster families, in which more than 500 children are placed. Employees of the Center regularly visit foster families during field visits. Each foster parent, as our interviewee states, has their own foster care advisor, who is their real and great support."
She noted that the Center for Family Placement and Adoption also organizes numerous humane actions. Special actions are organized for the youngest, such as "Secret Santa Claus" and "Easter Actions".
At the end of the interview with Dunav TV, director Jelena Zorić said, "Foster families are a great support and security for children without parental care, which is why it is necessary to work on promoting their work and importance. The goal is to motivate citizens to apply for foster care."
