Contribution of the show Exploziv on the topic of protecting children from abuse and neglect
The theme of the last show Exploziv is the protection of children from abuse and neglect. According to the latest available data, the number of reported cases of abuse and neglect of children in Serbia shows an increasing trend. One of the protection measures, determined by the Center for Social Work, is the family accommodation service.
During the show, our wonderful foster mothers spoke. Vinka and Manuela, mother and daughter, share their experience and talk about the importance of foster care. Jelica Marić Dević, an employee at the Center for Foster Care and Adoption in Novi Sad, spoke about the imbalance between the number of children who need the service of family accommodation and available foster families.
