Training for providers of the Occasional Family Care service


First workshop of training for providers of Occasional family-care services was organized on Tuesday (15th May) by the Center for Foster Care and Adoption Novi Sad.
Eleven families went through this training and gain knowledge about roles they will have in providing occasional family- care of children with disabilities, as a way to support their biological families. This service provides pause to biological parents in taking care of child, reduce family separation risk and risk of residential child care, and also enriches daily activities, improve relationships with other adults and peers, and improve skills for better social inclusion.
Training consists of 5 workshops and 9 thematic sections and it was held at the Center for Social Work Novi Sad. Implemented by the professionals of the Center for Foster Care and Adoption Novi Sad, this training will improve skills of future foster parents for sensitive child care.
