Starting training program "safe step to foster care"


Center for foster care and adoption Novi Sad started in October with a program for preparing and training foster care candidates. The "Safe Step to Foster care" preparation and training program consisting of eleven thematic units is being implemented in parallel for four groups of candidates.

The "Safe Step to Foster Care" training and training program for four groups of potential fosterers started with implementation in mid-October, and training programs are planned to be completed by the end of November 2017.
The training for the first group of potential foster parents is being realized in Novi Bečej and has 24 candidates. The training that is being held in Zitiste has 18 foster care candidates from Zitiste, Zrenjanin and Nova Crnja. The third group of potential foster parents consists of 21 candidates from Novi Sad, Beocin, Zablja, Titel and Temerin, and the training is being realized in Novi Sad. Training for the fourth group of potential foster parents is being realized in Stara Pazova and has 17 candidates from Stara Pazova, Sremska Mitrovica, Indjija, Sida and Pecinci.
This is the regular regional activity of the Center for foster care and adoption of Novi Sad since it began with direct work with users in September 2015. In this way, the Center for foster care and adoption of Novi Sad encourages the development of a network of foster families in the territory of South Bačka, Srem and Central Banat Administrative District.
