Marked International Day of Social Work

On March 22, 2024, a forum was held in the premises of OPENS on the occasion of the World Day of Social Work. The theme of this year's forum was "Community Connection to Comprehensive Support".
At the forum "Connecting in the community to comprehensive support" the following participated: Sandra Perić, social worker (Chamber of Social Protection), prof. Dr. Ivana Mihić - Faculty of Philosophy (in front of the Novi Sad Network for Children NS MEDE), Dr. sc. honey Snezana Ukropina - Institute for Public Health of Vojvodina (in front of the Network for Better Mental Health "Karika") as well as Mira Novaković Ilin in front of the Novi Sad humanitarian center.
The forum's moderator is Dr. Jelena Tanasijević, a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad.
For the second year in a row, the initiative to mark this day was launched out of the need to make the activities of social workers in Serbia as visible as possible. In addition, we believe that networking of social work practitioners and exchange of experiences is necessary at all levels in order to improve social work practice and policies.
After the forum, visitors had the opportunity to attend the Service Bazaar, where volunteers from various social welfare organizations presented the work of their institution.
